President Barack Obama visited Newtown, Conn., Sunday to meet with the families of the 26 victims of Friday's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Cristina Hassinger, the daughter of Sandy Hook's beloved principal Dawn Hochsprung, snapped this photo of the president holding Hochsprung's granddaughter at the community memorial service remembering the fallen.
My mom would be SO proud to see President Obama holding her granddaughter. But not as proud as I am of her. twitter.com/Chass63/status…

Hassinger earlier tweeted this message in memory of her mother:
My mom, Dawn Hochsprung, was taken tragically from me. But she went down in a blaze of glory that truly represents who she was. #Newtown

According to officials, Hochsprung turned on the PA system that alerted the rest of the school to the attack and died lunging at the shooter.
Because we all need a reason to smile, here's Obama with a few more Newtown children.
