The former charmed one and 'Beverly Hills 90210' star Shannen Doherty, encountered some real-life drama of her own this weekend when a Twitter fan threatened to end her life if she didn't receive a call from the star.

A concerned Doherty, who lives in Los Angeles, proceeded to call 911 to inform the authorities of the situation with the fan who resides in Westhampton N.J.

“This is going to sound incredibly strange,” she began. “My name is Shannen Doherty and I’m an actress. I’m on Twitter, sadly, and there is a girl that is threatening to shoot herself.”

The police instructed Doherty to stay online with the fan and to get her contact information.

The actress told the operator that she felt "trapped" and "a hostage" in the situation because she was "completely untrained to deal with somebody threatening suicide."

However, the 911 operator walked her through the process successfully not without letting her know that they were quite unprepared themselves to receive a call from a celebrity.

"All my coworkers can't believe I'm on the phone with you," said the dispatcher.

Before ending the call, Doherty made sure to send her thanks to everybody and to ask them to notify her with any updates on the situation.

After the 911 log was released yesterday, the actress voiced her concern regarding people's privacy on Twitter.
