Michael Jackson's Thriller, one of the greatest albums by one of the greatest pop icons, was released 30 years ago Friday.

Thriller is still the best selling album all time, with 42.1 million certified copies sold (although some estimates go as high as 110 million). All seven singles released from the album reached the Billboard top 10, and the music videos made for "Thriller," "Billie Jean" and "Beat It" helped break down a racial barrier that had kept the music of black artists off MTV.

Thriller won eight Grammy Awards, which at the time, set a record for the most awards given to a single album (it has since been surpassed by Santana's Supernatural and U2's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, and tied by Norah Jones and Ray Charles). Jackson still holds the title for most Grammy's won in a single night (shared with Santana) for the eight he won in 1984 for Thriller.

Its track list is chock-full of songs that remain popular and relevant.

Below, listen to the songs from entire album, with live performances and those groundbreaking music videos.
