Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to reprise his role as John Winchester on The CW's Supernatural for the show's 300th episode.

Morgan was last seen as John in the 2007 Season 2 finale where his character sacrificed himself to save his sons, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki).

The 300th episode, titled Lebanon, is set to premiere on Feb. 7.

"We're incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character... and a few other surprise guest stars," executive producer Andrew Dabb said in a statement.

Morgan, who continues to star as the villainous Negan on AMC's The Walking Dead, previously appeared in 12 episodes of Supernatural.
