"It's kind of about bringing light to a situation or to someone's life or somebody else brings life to your life. Sweetening the situation," the singer told Fallon on Tuesday.

Pharrell Williams helped produce the album.

Sweetener will include Grande's new single "No Tears Left to Cry" along with songs titled "R.E.M.," "The Light Is Coming," "God Is A Woman" and "Raindrops."

Grande performed "No Tears Left to Cry" onstage on the late-night show. The song is Grande's first single following the Manchester terrorist attack that took place at one of her concerts in May 2017. A suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured others at the show in Great Britain.
