Queen with Adam Lambert announce 'Rhapsody' tour

Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Queen with singer Adam Lambert have announced a 23-date North American Rhapsody tour that will take place in summer 2019.

The tour will feature original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor with Lambert serving as lead singer.

Queen and Lambert will be kicking things off on July 10 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver before wrapping things up on Aug. 23 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C.

Other stops include Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit, Toronto, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta, among other places.

Tickets go on sale for the general public on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. local time through LiveNation. A pre-sale for Queen and Lambert Fan Club members will be held on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. local time to 10 p.m. local time.

Lambert first performed with Queen in May 2009 while the singer was competing on American Idol and has toured with band frequently ever since. The group recently held a mini residency at the MGM in Las Vegas.

The Rhapsody tour comes after Queen and Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody was released into theaters.
