Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams begin a forbidden affair with each other in a new trailer for upcoming romance thriller, Disobedience.

The clip, released Thursday, features Weisz returning back to the Orthodox Jewish community that had previously shunned her due to her attraction to McAdams following her father's sudden death.

McAdams, now married to Weisz's cousin, portrayed by Alessandro Nivola, can't help but be drawn to Weisz as the pair begin seeing each other romantically in secret.

"Why did you get married?" Weisz asks.

"I think he felt that marriage could cure me," McAdams responds.

As the pair's relationship continues to unfold, it begins to cause rift in McAdam's marriage and causes trouble within their religious community.

Disobedience, from director Sebastian Lelio, is based on Naomi Alderman's 2006 novel of the same name. It is set to arrive in theaters on April 27.
