Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Cole Sprouse had a major crush on Jennifer Aniston during his childhood.

The 26-year-old actor said on Thursday's episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he "fell in love" with Aniston during his time on Friends. Aniston played Rachel Green on the NBC series.

"I remember feeling so, so intimidated by my crush on her that I completely blanked and forgot every single one of my lines," he told host Stephen Colbert. "She just stared at me and was waiting."

Sprouse was seven years old when he first played Ben Geller, the son of Ross Geller (David Schwimmer), on Friends.

"One of the crew members -- it was one of the cameramen, you guys know who you are -- just goes, 'That little boy's got a crush!'" he recalled. "Broke me."

Sprouse previously discussed his crush on Aniston in an interview with the New York Post.

"I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her. I was infatuated. I was speechless -- I'd get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank," he said. "It was so difficult."

Sprouse has since starred on the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck. He plays Jughead Jones on The CW series Riverdale, which premiered a third season in October.
