NAYPYITAW, Myanmar, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- A meeting between President Thein Sein and dissident Aung San Suu Kyi Friday indicated Myanmar's new government is reaching out to opponents, observers said.
Suu Kyi, who spent much of the past 20 years in detention, met with Thein Sein in the presidential palace in the capital, Naypyitaw, where she was attending an economic forum, the BBC reported.
