June 8 (UPI) -- Former President Donald Trump and two of his adult children, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., are tentatively scheduled to testify July 15 as part of the New York Attorney General's investigation into the Trump Organization's business practices, according to a court filing Wednesday. The Trumps were originally scheduled to testify Thursday, but in a joint stipulation filed with the court agreed to push back the date to allow more time for preparation.

July's testimony date is conditional on the outcome of a New York state appeals court ruling.
If the court issues a stay of a judge's order forcing the Trumps to answer questions under oath by investigators for Attorney General Letitia James, then next month's testimony would be scrapped.
If the appeal to block the subpoena for their testimony from James fails, each of the Trumps will be questioned separately in private starting July 15. The depositions are expected to take a week.
Last month, a New York appeals court upheld a lower court decision ordering the Trumps to comply with the subpoena for their deposition, which Trump argued was conducted in bad faith and in violation of his constitutional rights.
"While the New York proceeding has been ongoing since August 2020, Plaintiffs have submitted no evidence that the subpoena enforcement proceeding has been conducted in such a way as to constitute harassment," U.S. District Judge Brenda Sannes wrote in the May 27 ruling.
James is investigating the Trump Organization for alleged illegal manipulation of real estate valuations for assets owned by the company. James argues the company misstated valuations in order to secure economic benefits, such as tax deductions and favorable loans.
The Trumps have been fighting the charges for months, with the former president repeatedly calling the investigation a "witch hunt."
