Feb. 1 (UPI) -- A rapper from Chicago was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday after he brandished illegal firearm in a music video.

Burgos went by the name "Nation" when he filmed a music video in a suburban hotel room back in January 2016. In that video, he held two guns in front of the cameras. But Burgos was a felon and not allowed to possess firearms. And when he police saw the video, they arrested him.

"Law enforcement subsequently determined that the .45-caliber pistol had been stolen from a store in Indiana," the Department of Justice said in a statement. "The gun was also used in a shooting in Chicago two days before the music video was filmed."

The drug charges result from Burgos selling 4 grams of crack cocaine and 1.4 grams of heroin to "several individuals" who turned out to be undercover cops in 2015.

U.S. District Judge Ronald A. Guzman imposed the 15-year sentence.
