Sept. 6 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump met with congressional leaders Wednesday to discuss plans for their fall legislative agenda. Trump met with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., in the Oval Office.

"We have many, many things that are on the plate. Hopefully, we can solve them in a rational way. And maybe we won't be able to. We'll probably know pretty much at the end of this meeting," Trump said.
Their discussion came right before the House passed a bill Wednesday to provide nearly $8 billion in relief aid for Hurricane Harvey.
This meeting also comes shortly after Trump announced the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, created by former President Barack Obama to protect deportations for almost 800,000 people who came to the United States as children without documentation.
A reporter asked Trump if he had any reservations about ending DACA.
"No second thoughts," the president said.
Congressional Democrats and Republicans, including Ryan, have opposed Trump's decision and have about six months to come up with a legislative fix.
The main topics of discussion during Wednesday included health care reform, tax reform and a looming vote on the federal budget, in order to prevent a government shutdown.
