WEST CHESTER, Ohio, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- An Ohio man was indicted on a federal charge of threatening to murder a public official after allegedly threatening to shoot and poison Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Michael R. Hoyt, 44, worked for five and a half years at Wetherington Country Club in West Chester, Ohio, where Boehner is a member. Hoyt regularly served the Congressman drinks before he was fired last year.

Hoyt came under investigation by the FBI, Capitol Police and local authorities after he called police to complain about Boehner.

Hoyt told law enforcement he believed he was fired because Boehner and others said he had a bad attitude.

"Hoyt advised that he often poured drinks for Boehner and could have already put something in his drink, but he did not," court documents unveiled Tuesday say. "Hoyt stated that no one checks the drinks he poured for Boehner, and it would have been very easy to slip something into his drink."

Hoyt also said "he was Jesus Christ and that he was going to kill Boehner because Boehner was mean to him at the country club and because Boehner is responsible for Ebola."

Hoyt also allegedly told police he started to hear the devil speak to him through his car speakers, and voices told him to kill Boehner, United States Capitol Police (USCP) Special Agent Christopher M. Desrosiers said.
