NEW YORK, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Prince William and his lady love will cross the pond for their first visit together to New York City next month to honor victims at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in lower Manhattan. They'll also catch a Brooklyn Nets game.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were last in the states in 2011, but spent all three days in southern California.

This time around the couple will be in New York from December 7-9, and William will pop down to Washington the second day to attend a World Bank conference.

Catherine plans to visit a child development center, and both will tour an inner-city youth organization and an arts-in-education program.

They'll be courtside for the basketball game at the Barclays Center because of a new collaboration including the charitable Royal Foundation, the National Basketball Association and the United for Wildlife organization.

The trip will wind up with a gala at Manhattan's Metropolitan Museum of Art to celebrate the 600th birthday of Scotland's University of St. Andrews.

The big question? Is bonnie Prince George coming along for the ride? So far, Buckingham Palace is mum on that point. Catherine's expecting her second baby in April.
