The bodies of the five victims were found in four locations Monday. The killings began shortly before 5 p.m., when police discovered the body of a woman who had been fatally shot, the Morning News reported.

Flames then started erupting from Brownlow's home, which police said had been deliberately set on fire. Another woman's body was found inside the home.

Authorities determined that Brownlow and his car were missing.

At 10:30 p.m., a man and a woman were found dead in their residence, and fifteen minutes later, another man was found dead at a convenience store.

Brownlow escaped from the scene in his car and then fled on foot.

He was later arrested near a creek where he was hiding, police said.
