MELBOURNE, Fla., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- A man dressed as the Batman villain The Joker was arrested at a Florida movie theater, officials said.
Christoper Sides, 21, of Cocoa, was arrested Wednesday at the Premiere Theater in Melbourne, WFTV, Orlando, reported.
Other movie theater patrons called police and reported a man dressed as The Joker pacing outside the theater before entering the building.
When police arrived, they found Sides sporting pink hair and black and white face makeup. Police said Sides made no threats and did not have any weapons on him.
However, Sides was taken into custody after police learned he had a warrant out for his arrest for failure to appear on a previous misdemeanor charge.
He was arrested without incident, police said.
Sides told police didn't know about the killing of 12 people allegedly by James Holmes at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., during a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" in July.
