ATLANTA, March 28 (UPI) -- The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night's drawing has reached $476 million, the biggest ever in a U.S. lottery, officials said.
The previous record, $390 million, was a 2007 Mega Millions prize shared by two winners, in Georgia and New Jersey, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

No players matched all six numbers in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.
The payout for the cash option in Friday's drawing would be about $341 million.
