Dahlan complains of Israeli obstruction

RAMALLAH, West Bank, June 9 (UPI) -- Palestinian Minister for Civilian Affairs Mohammad Dahlan complained Thursday Israel is making it difficult to coordinate the disengagement.

Addressing the Foreign Press Association, in Ramallah, Dahlan said they have had 10 meetings with the Israelis "without receiving any information."

A map the Israelis offered was a copy of the one that the then Chairman Minister Yasser Arafat signed in Cairo with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin signed years ago and they already have a copy. The information offered could have been obtained on the Internet and in libraries.

The Palestinians want Israel to open the border crossing to Egypt, let them open the airport that had functioned before the intifada, and provide safe passage between the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Dahlan complained the Israeli proposed a rail line between the two areas saying it wild take three years to prepare.
