Richie Incognito received his wish on Monday when the Buffalo Bills released him from the reserve/retired list. The veteran offensive lineman signed a contract with the Bills in March but shortly after he told reporters he intended on retiring, leading to the Bills placing him on the reserve/retired list. Incognito cited health issues with his liver and kidneys as his reason for wanting to retire.

On April 14, he wrote on Twitter that he wanted the Bills to release him.
"Please release me from my contract," Incognito wrote. "Contact Athletes First for further updates. Thank you for your service."
Athletes First is the agency Incognito fired more than a week before making his intentions known that he was retiring.
By getting his release, Incognito can keep the $1 million roster bonus he agreed to on March 15. The 34-year-old guard saw his base salary reduced from $6.325 million to $3.65 million in the new deal.
Incognito has made the Pro Bowl on four occasions, including the past three seasons while in Buffalo.
He was out of football in 2014 after being suspended by the Miami Dolphins in 2013 as part of a bullying scandal.
