The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive end Brent Urban to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed by the Ravens, but NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported the contract is worth up to $2.35 million.
Urban, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent, collected four tackles in three games last season before a Lisfranc injury landed him on injured reserve. He also missed his entire rookie season in 2014 with a torn ACL and had a delayed start to the 2015 campaign due to a torn biceps.
The 26-year-old Urban recorded 25 tackles and 3.0 sacks in 25 career games with the Ravens since being selected by the team in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Urban also blocked two field goal attempts, including one that was returned 64 yards for the game-winning touchdown in his NFL debut against the Cleveland Browns on Oct. 30, 2015.
