Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood will retire due to a neck injury, multiple outlets reported on Friday.

Wood started all 16 regular-season games in 2017 as well as an AFC wild-card loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It is unclear when and how he aggravated the injury, although ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Wood's ordeal is a "complicated medical situation."

The Bills are expected to announce Wood's retirement at a news conference Monday, according to Scout Fantasy.

Wood started all 120 games he has played with Buffalo since being selected with a first-round pick in the 2009 NFL draft out of Louisville. The 31-year-old was a Pro Bowl selection in 2015.
