Tom Brady: New England Patriots quarterback calls on 'people of earth' in chocolate ad

Oct. 13 (UPI) -- He has an impossibly great football résumé, but Tom Brady needs your help to sell his chocolates.

The New England Patriots quarterback released an ad Thursday on Facebook for his Unreal chocolates.

He overacts and uses a weird voice in the 2:09-minute spot. He also refers to his audience as "people of earth."

Brady, who is commonly referred to as the NFL's Ironman, is 40 years old and playing in his 18th pro season. He currently leads the league with 1,702 passing yards and he posted the best interception percentage (0.5) of his career last season.

"Tom Terrific" released a $200 cookbook in 2016.

"People of earth: I need your help," Brady says in his new ad. "I am in the midst of a Halloween crisis. Today I woke up to find that almost all of my Unreal chocolates have been stolen. This is all I have left. Now, I'm ready to travel through time and space to get them back. But there is one issue. I need copilots. That's where you come in. In hundreds of these Unreal Halloween boxes, I've hidden tickets with secret codes redeemable for special prizes. Three of these boxes contain something even more valuable: these three skeleton keys will grant you full access to my spaceship."

"I need you, brave people of earth, to go out, find these keys and join me in person on my spaceship to embark on an Unreal adventure to take back all that is good."

Brady then eats the candy.

"Now, please help me return my Unreal chocolates back to their rightful place, my belly. I'm counting on you, people of earth. I'm counting on you."

Brady and the Patriots face the New York Jets at 1 p.m. Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Hopefully Brady can find parking for his spacecraft in East Rutherford, N.J.
