Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Cam Newton leads our list of the top 20 fantasy football quarterbacks for Week 6.

Russell Wilson, Tyrod Taylor, Andy Dalton and Dak Prescott should be benched this week as their teams don't play because of scheduled bye weeks.

This opens the door for several newcomers in our weekly top 20 quarterback rankings.

There are several players you should consider as replacement-level starters for your fantasy football squad. If you didn't lock up a quality backup to replace your quarterback during his bye week, don't fret. Take a look at some of my top players to add and drop off of your waiver wire for Week 6.

Here are my Top 20 options at the position this week.

TOP 20 WEEK 6 RANKINGS BELOW

TOP SHELF

Is any quarterback in the NFL currently playing better than Cam Newton? After a dreadful first three weeks of the season, Newton has passed for more than 671 yards and six touchdowns and also rushed for a score in his last two games. Start him with confidence as a QB1 in Week 6 against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has allowed the third-most passing yards to opposing gunslingers.

My No. 4 quarterback for Week 6 is Houston Texans rookie Deshaun Watson. Like Newton, the former Clemson star is on a tear. Watson completed a season-low 51.6 percent of his throws last week, but did pass for five scores against no interceptions. He has 11 touchdowns and three interceptions in his last three games. This week he gets a home game against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game and are tied for allowing the second-most passing scores to opposing quarterbacks. Watson is already a weekly QB1.

SNEAKY PLAYS

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is my No. 6 quarterback for the week with a matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins defense hasn't been awful lately, but has yet to log an interception and is tied for tallying the fourth-fewest sacks in the NFL. Ryan hasn't been spectacular, but he has faced decent secondaries in back-to-back weeks. Look for the 2016 NFL MVP to get back on track here in a blowout in Atlanta.

If Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota manages to suit up in Week 6, put him in your lineup. Mariota and the Titans are hosting the Indianapolis Colts and I can see him going off in this spot. The Colts are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game and passing yards to opposing quarterbacks. Mariota is a QB1 and is my No. 9 option for Week 6.

LONGSHOTS

Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Jameis Winston travels for a battle against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. He comes in as my No. 11 option, but would probably fall outside my top 12 if four passers weren't on a bye. The Cardinals are tied for allowing the third-most passing scores and are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season. Winston is a borderline QB1.

A name that might not be on your radar for Week 6 is New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown. Hear me out: the New England Patriots defense has been awful. How awful? New England is allowing the most fantasy points per game, passing yards and passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. The Patriots have allowed at least 292 passing yards in every game this season, facing the likes of Alex Smith, Drew Brees, Deshaun Watson, Cam Newton and Jameis Winston. McCown is a dart throw, but don't be surprised if he approaches 300 passing yards and throws for multiple scores, giving him a shot at low-end QB1 production.
