Indianapolis also released linebacker Sean Spence and put center Deyshawn Bond on the injured reserve list in corresponding moves. Tight end Evan Baylis joined the team's practice squad and tight end Marcus Lucas was put on the practice squad injured list.

Person, 29, was a seventh round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2011 NFL Draft. He has played in 31 games and started 14 times during his career, suiting up for the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks, 49ers and Colts.

Last year, the Montana State product played for the Chiefs and Falcons but never took a snap in a game. He made all of his 14 career starts in 2015 with the Falcons.

Kalis, 23, signed with the Washington Redskins in May as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan. He spent the first four weeks of the season on the Redskins' practice squad. Kalis was second team AFCA All-American and second team All-Big Ten during his final season with the Wolverines.

Spence had one tackle on special teams in three games this season for the Colts. He had 163 tackles, 14 special teams tackles, five sacks, three passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 49 career games for the Colts, Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bond signed with the Colts in May as an undrafted free agent. He started all four games at center for the Colts this season.

He tore his quadriceps on Sunday and was playing in place of Ryan Kelly.

Baylis signed with the Houston Texans in May as an undrafted free agent. He spent time on the Texans' practice squad this season and appeared in the Texans' Week 2 contest.

Lucas signed onto the Colts' practice squad on Sept. 26. He has also spent time on the practice squad for the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers.

Indianapolis currently has Kelly and Adam Redmond at center on its depth chart. Anthony Castonzo and Le'Raven Clark are listed at left tackle while Jeremy Vujnovich is penciled in at left guard. Jack Mewhort is the starting right guard while Joe Haeg and Clark stock right tackle.

Kelly, the Colts' first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, is expected to return to the team's lineup Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, according to CBS 4 Indianapolis. He has been recovering from offseason foot surgery. Kelly practiced last week but was inactive against the Seattle Seahawks.
