Cleveland Browns sign WR Bailey, TE Iese

Aug. 6 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a deal with wide receiver Rasheed Bailey.

Cleveland announced the signing on Saturday. The Browns also signed tight end Nate Iese and waived defensive lineman Jamal Marcus and wide receiver James Wright with injury designations.

Bailey, 24, is listed at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds. He played collegiately at Delaware Valley State. Bailey originally signed following the 2015 NFL Draft with the Philadelphia Eagles an undrafted free agent. He has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad. Bailey also previously played for the BC Lions.

He had a school record 3,138 yards, 29 touchdowns and 165 receptions in college. Iese had 569 yards and seven touchdowns on 49 catches at UCLA. He played linebacker for the Bruins before changing to tight end. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 249 pounds.

Browns wide receiver Jordan Leslie left practice early Saturday and is being evaluated for a possible concussion.

The Browns currently have Kenny Britt and Corey Coleman atop their depth chart at wide receiver. Ricardo Louis, Mario Alford, Rashard Higgins, Leslie, Jordan Payton, Rannell Hall and Josh Boyce sit behind the team's top two options at the position.

The Browns threw the second-fewest touchdown passes (15) in the NFL last season. Cleveland kicks off the preseason with an 8 p.m. game Thursday against the New Orleans Saints at FirstEnergy Stadium.
