Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Defensive end Jared Odrick is no longer a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The franchise cut the 29-year-old Monday, according to his agent. Odrick was the No. 28 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. After spending his first five seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Odrick signed with the Jaguars in 2015. He had one sack and a forced fumble in six games last season. Odrick had 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 16 starts in 2015.

After getting released, Odrick mocked the organization on his Instagram account.

"This is me getting released by the @Jaguars," Odrick wrote, while hanging out on a beach in the Dominican Republic.

The move saves the Jaguars $8.5 million in cap space. Odrick has 7.5 sacks in his last 38 games. ESPN reported last week that there was some "minor friction" between Odrick and the Jaguars regarding his rehab and body preparation.

Odrick was due a $2 million roster bonus and $3.5 million of his salary became guaranteed on the fifth day of the new league year.
