Buffalo Bills to take another look at Philadelphia Eagles OC Frank Reich

By The Sports Xchange

The Buffalo Bills are interested in discussing their vacant head-coaching position with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich, multiple outlets reported.

Reich, 55, received high marks this season for his work with Philadelphia rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. He spent the previous two seasons as offensive coordinator of the San Diego Chargers.

Reich also interviewed for the Buffalo head-coaching job following the 2014 campaign before the Bills hired Rex Ryan, who was recently fired after two seasons.

Reich was a backup quarterback for the Bills from 1985-94, sitting behind Hall of Famer Jim Kelly during the team's run of reaching four consecutive Super Bowls. His biggest on-field achievement was throwing four second-half touchdowns to rally the Bills from a 35-3 deficit to post a 41-38 overtime victory over the Houston Oilers in the famous AFC wild-card game on Jan. 3, 1993.

The Bills are strongly weighing whether to give Anthony Lynn the permanent job after the offensive coordinator served as interim coach for the season finale after the firing of Ryan.
