San Diego Chargers owner Dean Spanos said at Wednesday's NFL owners meeting that he will not make a decision on a possible move to Los Angeles until after the season 2016 concludes.

The league's owners approved a final tenant-lease contract between the Chargers and Los Angeles Rams, who are playing their first season back in Hollywood after moving from St. Louis.

Owners also gave the green light on a debt waiver to help the Chargers finance the $650 million relocation fee.

"It's Dean's option by Jan. 15 (2017) to make a determination of whether he thinks he can make it work in San Diego or whether he decides to take the option to Los Angeles," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said.

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis is also considering a move to Las Vegas.

San Diego (5-8) is last in the AFC West and hosts the Raiders on Sunday.
