KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Tuesday that breakout star running back Spencer Ware has a "good chance" to be ready for Week 10.

"There's a good chance he is," Reid told Blair Kerkhoff. "He has to pass all the protocol."

Ware sat out of the Chiefs' Week 9 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a concussion. He suffered the concussion during the Chiefs' Week 8 contest against the Indianapolis Colts.

Chiefs reporter B.J. Kissel reported Tuesday that "as far as Reid knows right now," Ware hasn't passed concussion protocol.

Before his Week 8 exit, Ware had embraced his new role is the Chiefs' feature back. He has scored just three times on the season, but has proven to be a very versatile fantasy football play in any format. In seven full games, he has failed to top 96 yards from scrimmage only once.

If Ware can't suit up for Sunday's battle against the Carolina Panthers, don't be too quick to put Charcandrick West in your lineup. West disappointed fantasy football team owners last week with 74 yards from scrimmage on 16 touches against the Jacksonville Jaguars. When Ware returns, he will be an RB1.
