Martellus Bennett responds to Tom Brady's conch call

BOSTON, April 4 (UPI) -- Apparently blowing through a conch shell summons very large tight ends.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is finding that out fast, after he posted a video calling for his receivers to assemble.

First came wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola, who responded to Brady's request on social media.

Then Rob Gronkowski posted a video joining the all-pro quarterback after being summoned with the "Anchorman" imitation.

Now newly acquired Martellus Bennett is joining in on the fun.

Bennett, who is listed at 6-foot, 7-inches, should be a beast lining up to the 6-foot, 6-inch Gronkowski this season. But he is already showing that he can blend in well with the veterans. In an Instagram video response, Bennett holds a cup of tea and does curls with his daughter in his arms.

"I don't always answer birdcalls, but when I do, they are from Tom Brady and Gronk," Bennett said in the video.

He continues with exercises, doing sit-ups with his daughter, before saying: "reporting right after daddy-duty."

Bennett, 29, had 53 receptions, for 439 yards and three touchdowns last season in Chicago.
