BALTIMORE, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Molly Shattuck, a 48-year-old former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader will spend 48 weekends in jail for a 2014 rape.

Shattuck pleaded guilty to having sex with a 15-year-old boy that she met on social media, according to NBC News.

Shattuck was sentenced, by a Delaware judge, to spend every other weekend in jail for the next two years.

Shattuck must also pay $10,650 to the boy's family, according to WBAL.

"I was the adult, and I'm sorry," Shattuck told USA Today. "I never should have had the conversation with someone else's son and I'm sorry ... I will spend the rest of my life making this right."

Shattuck admitted to one count of fourth-degree rape in June and was arrested in November on "charges of third-degree rape, unlawful contact and giving alcohol to minors," according to USA Today.

The boy was friends with Shattuck's teenage son, according to court records.

Shattuck was a cheerleader for the Ravens in 2005. Hired at 38-years-old, Shattuck made NFL history as the oldest active cheerleader.

Shattuck rented a Bethany Beach summer house last Labor Day for herself, her son and her son's friends. One of those friends she had met for previous romantic encounters in the rear seat of her vehicle.

"Late at night, in a bedroom of the house, Shattuck performed oral sex on the boy, charging documents state," according to James Fisher of the Delaware News-Journal. "She offered to have sex with him, police said, but the boy declined."

"Mrs. Shattuck is extremely sorry for any pain and all pain she may have caused," defense attorney Michelle Lipkowitz said, according to WBAL. "She is determined to demonstrate, at this point, to all involved her sorrow, her remorse and full acceptance of responsibility for any poor decisions she made."

Shattuck will register as a sex offender while continuing therapy and undergoing sex disorder counseling.
