BUFFALO, N.Y., April 16 (UPI) -- After trading for LeSean McCoy and paying him a $40 million, five-year deal, most thought that Shady would run away with the carries in Buffalo.

But Fred Jackson isn't ready to be stabled quite yet.

"They say (McCoy) is going to be the bell cow, but I'm not going to make it easy for him," Jackson told the Buffalo News Wednesday.

"I'm not going to just hand him the job," Jackson told WGRZ-TV.

"I'm still here in Buffalo... Until they kick me out I'm going to be."

Jackson, 34, rushed for 525 yards and two touchdowns while catching 66 passes for 501 yards and a score in 14 games last season.

Jackson was carted off the field with a groin injury in a week 7 win, on Oct. 19, against the Minnesota Vikings.

McCoy, 26, rushed for 1,319 yards, five rushing touchdowns and 28 receptions for 155 receiving yards last season.
