CHICAGO, April 14 (UPI) -- His lawyer might not think he's ready for the NFL off the field, but Jameis Winston can't wait to showoff his on field skills. Winston will meet with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Schefter previously reported that the Bears have also met with former Oregon quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota.
The first round of the NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. April 30.
The Bears hold the No. 7 overall pick in the draft, but would probably have to move up into the first few picks to have a shot at either quarterback.
Jay Cutler, 31, threw 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions, with an 88.6 quarterback rating and 54.04 QBR last season. The Bears finished 5-10 last season. Cutler enters his 10th season minus his top target after Brandon Marshall was traded to the New York Jets this offseason.
