LOS ANGELES, June 15 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to terms to trade forwards Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Lance Stephenson, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Stephenson, 24, signed a three-year $27 million deal last year with the Hornets.

Hawes, 27 averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists while Barnes, 35, averaged 10.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists for the Clippers.

"To be clear on Barnes: Only $1M of his salary is guaranteed for next season if he's waived by July 1," Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted. "Otherwise, Charlotte owes him $3.5M."

Stephenson averaged 8.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in just 25 starts for the Hornets. In his final season as an Indiana Pacer in 2013, Stephenson averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
