Holland signed a one-year, $3.2 million contract with the Diamondbacks in January.

Holland is 24-22 with a 2.96 ERA since debuting with the Kansas City Royals in 2010. He led the league with 41 saves as a member of the Colorado Rockies in 2017 but has a 4.11 ERA in 205 games since 2015.

Arizona is 57-57 this season. The Diamondbacks are 2 1/2 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the National League's second Wild Card spot.
