Giants offensive tackle Ereck Flowers, who engaged in a brief altercation with ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan that ended with Flowers shoving Raanan after Sunday's game, has been made to apologize for his actions.

Per a report by Dan Duggan of NJ Advance Media, a frustrated Flowers, who had allowed at least two sacks and who struggled against the Packers in the Giants' 23-16 loss, interrupted questioning from another reporter when Raanan approached the small group gathered around the 23-year-old offensive lineman.

Duggan provided a transcript of the confrontation, which began with Flowers ordering Raanan to "get out of my face."

When Raanan didn't move, Flowers reportedly got into Raanan's face, twice ordering him to go away, including one instance in which Flowers uttered an expletive.

When Raanan, who three times told Flowers that he was trying to do his job, didn't move, Flowers put his hand on Raanan, shoving him away as he said, "Go over there, man."

The shove, according to Duggan, was forceful enough to send Raanan stumbling backwards by a few steps.

Head coach Ben McAdoo said via his conference call that he, general manager Jerry Reese and the Giants public relations staff all sat with Flowers to discuss his behavior toward Raanan.

"(Flowers) called Jordan and apologized," McAdoo said. "He understands that he cannot behave that way. It's unacceptable. It's important for us all to have a professional relationship with the media, players and coaches."

As to whether Flowers will be disciplined for his action, McAdoo said, "All discipline will be handled in-house."
