Baltimore Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil confirmed to reporters on Thursday what teammate Terrell Suggs initially divulged by saying that he expects to make his season debut against the visiting Oakland Raiders on Sunday (1 p.m., ET).

"Since my guy already said it, I'm excited to get in front of our fans," said Dumervil, who underwent foot surgery in the offseason.

Dumervil returned to practice last week, but sat out on Friday and remained inactive two days later in Baltimore's 19-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 32-year-old Dumervil's inclusion in the lineup should reduce the workload of Albert McClellan and Za'Darius Smith, who played in his place for the Ravens (3-0).

Dumervil was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 22, but a setback hampered his immediate return to the lineup.

Dumervil is two years removed from a career high-tying 17 sacks. He has recorded 343 tackles and 95.5 sacks in nine seasons with the Denver Broncos and Ravens.
