The Colorado Rockies reached agreement with outfielder Gerardo Parra on a three-year, $27.5 million contract, according to reports Tuesday.

The Rockies had yet to announce the deal, but Parra confirmed his move to Colorado on social media. The deal includes a fourth-year club option for $12 million, the Denver Post reported.

"Super excited to join the Rockies," Parra said on Twitter while posting a photo sitting next to Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez.

Last season with the Milwaukee Brewers and the Baltimore Orioles in 155 games, Parra batted a combined .271 with 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and 14 stolen bases in 589 plate appearances.

The 28-year-old also has won two Gold Gloves during his career.

Parra joins a crowded in outfield with the Rockies that includes Gonzalez, Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson, leading to speculation that one might be on the trading block.
