What we learned about the Cardinals:

1. Arizona isn't missing a beat without injured running backs Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington.

Rookie David Johnson, making only his second NFL start, responded with another big day, producing 92 yards on 19 carries. He also caught five passes for 31 yards. Last week, Johnson ran for 99 yards against the Rams in St. Louis. Chris Johnson, who is recovering from a cracked tibia, is out at least until the Super Bowl. Ellington (turf toe) should be back in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

2. Larry Fitzgerald is enjoying a career renaissance as a receiver.

Fitzgerald continues to show he is one of the team's best blockers when it comes to freeing other targets. He helped to spring wide receiver Michael Floyd during Floyd's 42-yard touchdown reception down the right sideline. "It was a fantastic block," coach Bruce Arians said. "It was great awareness."

3. Chandler Catanzaro is a clutch field-goal kicker.

While he has missed three extra-point attempts this year, he hit a game-winning 47-yarder late in the game to propel Arizona to its seventh consecutive win. "These are awesome," Catanzaro said of his two game-winners, Thursday and in a Nov. 22 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. "You only live once, so you have to cherish these moments and enjoy them."

Etc.

--DE Calais Campbell, after failing to show up on the stat sheet in last week's win at St. Louis and getting criticized by coach Bruce Arians, came up with his best game of the season against the Vikings. He had four tackles, three of them for losses, registered a sack, had four quarterback hits and recovered a fumble. "I made a few plays, but it was a team effort," Campbell said.

--QB Carson Palmer improved to 24-4 in his past 28 starts and broke Kurt Warner's single-season franchise record for touchdown passes with his 31st on Thursday night. "Kurt has been a great player for a long time, in a bunch of leagues it seems like," Palmer said. "I've been a fan of his and the way he played the game. To break that record is a tremendous honor."

--WR Brittan Golden sustained a concussion while playing on the punt team and he did not return to the game. Prior to last week's game against the Rams, the Cardinals converted him to defensive back because of depth issues, but they kept him on special teams.
