Running back Adrian Peterson, who wasn't happy after getting only eight carries for 18 yards last Sunday, stands by his comments that the Minnesota Vikings were outcoached and outplayed.

After the 38-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Peterson said, "We were outcoached in so many ways. And outplayed as players."

Peterson, who leads the NFL with 1,182 rushing yards and was coming off a 158-yard effort against the Atlanta Falcons, said he was frustrated by the lack of opportunities on Sunday.

Peterson was asked by reporters on Tuesday about the comments but did not back away from his point.

"It's true,'' Peterson said Tuesday. "We got outcoached and we got outplayed. The way I look at things, it's not all about the players. It's about this team, this organization. When a guy throws an interception, or a guy fumbles, or a guy gives up a sack, or the defense don't play well, it's quick for people to say, 'Oh, the defense didn't play well,' or 'This guy threw an interception at a critical time.'

"That's always OK (to say). But then someone mentions something about coaches being outcoached, it's always like a big issue. And to me, it's not a big issue. We are a team. We win together and we lose together. And we lost together. We didn't play well as players and the coaches didn't coach well."

Peterson said he didn't feel a need to meet with coach Mike Zimmer or offensive coordinator Norv Turner to discuss the situation this week.

"I came in Monday with a smile on my face, ready to roll and thinking about Arizona," Peterson said.
