LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) -- Ronda Rousey threw a verbal jab at Floyd Mayweather Wednesday after accepting her the Best Fighter ESPY Award. While clinching the award, Rousey said she wondered how Mayweather felt being "beat by a woman for once."
Mayweather, who bested Manny Pacquiao in May in a historic bout, has a documented history of domestic violence. Mayweather's team also stripped credentials for several female media personalities, who were critical of his history of violence, prior to the Pacquiao fight.
"I'd like to see you (Mayweather) pretend not to know who I am now," Rousey told ESPN.
Rousey also threw a punch at Mayweather in May when she told Access Hollywood that the two wouldn't fight unless they "ended up dating."
Last year, Mayweather said he did not know who Rousey was.
Last May, UFC president Dana White said that Rousey could take Mayweather in a fight.
"Listen I get it," White said before UFC 173. "It's hard for guys to wrap their brains around that one. Ronda wouldn't beat him. She'd hurt him badly. She'd hurt him badly."
Rousey (11-0) is fighting undefeated Brazlian Bethe Correia on Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro.
