Scott Dixon claimed his second win in the IndyCar Series this season with a dominating performance in Saturday night's Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Dixon, the driver of the No. 9 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet and a three-time IndyCar champion, led 97 of 248 laps, including the final 19. He crossed the finish line 7.8 seconds ahead of his teammate, Tony Kanaan, in a race that moved at an average speed of 191.940 mph, a record pace at this 1.5-mile track.

It's the second time Dixon has won at Texas. His first victory here occurred in 2008.

Team Penske drivers Helio Castroneves and Juan Pablo Montoya, the current points leader and winner of the Indianapolis 500 two weeks ago, finished third and fourth, respectively. Marco Andretti from Andretti Autosport placed fifth, the highest finisher among the Honda drivers.

Dixon, Kanaan, Castroneves, Montoya and Andretti were the only drivers who finished on the lead lap.
