Henderson Alvarez tossed an impressive 6 2/3 innings to guide the Miami Marlins to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the third contest of a four-game set at Citizens Bank Park.

Alvarez (5-3), who hasn't lost an outing since May 11 at San Diego, allowed two runs -- one earned -- on seven hits and two walks to pick up his first road win in his last 10 starts, dating back to Sept. 14, 2013 at Citi Field.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia drove in two and Marcell Ozuna had an RBI and scored a run for the Marlins, who lost three of four coming into the game.

Coming off his 24th career complete game, A.J. Burnett (5-7) yielded three runs on five hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings to absorb the loss.

Marlon Byrd finished 3-for-4 with a run scored, while Chase Utley and Domonic Brown each recorded an RBI for the Phillies, who have lost four of their last five.
