NHL: Winnipeg 5, New York Rangers 2

NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Olli Jokinen scored twice in the third period and added an assist Monday, sending the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-2 victory over the New York Rangers.

The score was tied 2-2 with 7:18 remaining in the final period when an unguarded Jokinen collected a weird carom off the end boards and fired a quick shot past Rangers goalie Cam Talbot.

Talbot finished with 25 saves.
