Tiger Woods completes dominating 7-shot WGC-Bridgestone victory

AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods completed a dominating performance at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Sunday, carding an even-par 70 to wrap up a seven-shot victory.

Woods entered the final round with a whopping seven-stroke advantage thanks to a 61 in Friday's second round and was never seriously challenged on the final 18 holes, ending at 15-under-par 265 en route to his eighth career win at the Ohio event.

It was the fifth title of the season for Woods and his first since the Players Championship in May. It gave him considerable momentum heading into the PGA Championship, where he will shoot for his first major championship since the 2008 U.S. Open.

Knotted for second place at 8-under-par 272 were defending champion Keegan Bradley (3-under 67) and Sweden's Henrik Stenson (70).

Fourth place at minus-6 was shared by Zach Johnson (67) Jason Dufner (71) and Miguel Angel Jimenez (69).
