LONDON, July 7 (UPI) -- No. 2 seed Andy Murray defeated top-ranked Novak Djokovic in straight sets Sunday, becoming the first Briton to claim the Wimbledon men's title since 1936.
Murray battled past Djokovic 6-4, 7-5, 6-4, ending Britain's 77-year drought in claiming the country's first All England Club crown since Fred Perry won in 1936.
