NHL: Washington 4, Buffalo 3 (SO)

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 30 (UPI) -- Mike Green scored in the final minute of regulation and Alex Ovechkin notched a shootout winner Saturday in Washington's 4-3 comeback win over Buffalo.

Trailing 3-2 with 40 seconds remaining, the Capitals had pulled their goalie for a sixth attacker and the strategy paid off when Greene's shot clanged off the post and rebounded off Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth into the net.

Ville Leino scored twice and Christian Erhoff also tallied for Buffalo.
