NBA: LA Clippers 105, Cleveland 89

CLEVELAND, March 1 (UPI) -- Jamal Crawford made three 3-pointers and scored 24 points Friday in leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 105-89 triumph over Cleveland.

Los Angeles won its fourth in a row, the last two on the road, and has captured eight of its last nine. The Clippers now return home for an anticipated matchup with Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Cleveland was within two points with 5:45 to go in the third period, but the Clippers wound up with a nine-point cushion at the end of the quarter. Los Angeles opened the fourth period on a 17-8 run to wrap up the contest.

Blake Griffin had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers while Chris Paul handed out 14 assists along with his 11 points. Paul is running second to Boston's Rajon Rondo in the battle for the NBA's assist title this season.

Cleveland, which had won its previous two games, was led by 17 points from both Dion Waiters and C.J. Miles.
