NBA: Golden State 96, Philadelphia 89

OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- David Lee helped Golden State take charge in the second period Friday and went on to score 25 points in pushing Golden State to a 96-89 win over Philadelphia.

The Warriors won for the 10th time in 13 games and became the sixth team in the NBA to reach 20 victories for the season.

Golden State outscored the 76ers by 14 points in the second period to take a 15-point halftime lead and held on for the victory despite shooting just 41 percent from the field.

Lee added 12 rebounds while Jarrett Jack produced 16 points for the Warriors. Carl Landry had 15 points and 12 boards.

Jrue Holliday led the way for Philadelphia by scoring 21 points and dishing out 10 assists. Thaddeus Young had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

The 76ers played the third in an eight-game road trip that will not conclude until they meet San Antonio on Jan. 5. They are 1-2 thus far on the journey.
