DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Suzann Pettersen and Inbee Park, after solid results in Taiwan, edged up in the women's world golf rankings, updated Monday.

Pettersen charged from behind Sunday and passed Park in winning the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship. Defending champion and world No. 1 Yani Tseng finished third.

It was Pettersen's second title in two weeks and shoved her past Jiyai Shin in the rankings into a virtual tie with fifth-ranked Shanshan Feng. Park moved ahead of Feng and into the No. 4 spot but is very close to No. 3 Choi Na-yeon.

Tseng has a rankings points average of 12.45 and appears to be lock to finish the year No. 1 for a second consecutive year. This would mark the third time -- after 2008 and 2009 when Lorena Ochoa managed the feat -- a player led the rankings for an entire year.

Stacy Lewis is second with an average of 8.59 while Choi and Park have averages of 8.40, with Choi given the edge. Feng is fifth and Pettersen sixth but both have an average of 8.08.

Shin, now seventh, has an average of 7.59 and is followed by No. 8 Ai Miyazato at 7.04. Ryu-So-yeon (6.46) takes the No. 9 spot, switching places with Mika Miyazato, now ranked 10th, whose average is 6.32.
